Electrical Engineer – Protection and Control System Expert

We are looking for a versatile specialist with expertise in protection and control systems, substation automation, and digital substation management and control systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, hands-on experience with SCADA systems, virtualization, Linux environments, along with a deep understanding of system integration, networking, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain substation protection and control systems.

• Install and configure hardware components, such as industrial servers, I/O modules, and network equipment, to support automation and control applications.

• Implement and maintain virtualized environments for protection and control applications.

• Manage Linux-based systems and ensure secure system operations.

• Optimize and troubleshoot SCADA, automation, and substation communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850).

• Assist in system upgrades, security patches, and firmware updates.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve system performance, cybersecurity, and predictive maintenance capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.

• Strong expertise in substation automation and protection relays systems.

• Proficiency in Linux (CLI, scripting, security, networking, and troubleshooting).

• Experience with virtualized environments (KVM, VMware, or cloud-based deployments).

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, GOOSE, ICCP).

• Hands-on experience with SCADA software, such as zenon.

• Familiarity with IEC 61850, network security, and firewalls.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
